Hello, Friday! And hello to another episode of Celebrate The Small Things!!!
This is a weekly blog hop sponsored by the amazingLexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner fromWriting Off the Edge and myself. The purpose: to help us remember all those wonderful, little things that put a smile on our faces this past week. (and big ones too.)
You can sign-up on the linky below!
This week, I'm celebrating:
1) Blackberries! My parents have TONS of bushes on their new property and have been picking between rainstorms. So today, I'm going to be cooking up some jam.
2) Dinner! My oldest daughter is waitressing, so we decided to go out and bug her one evening. She does such a great job. Lol! It's amazing how hard working kids are when it doesn't include work at home.
3) Ice Cream! I've been indulging this week and loving every second.
So what about you?
Find a penny on the parking lot? Did gas prices suddenly drop a cent or two? Meet someone unexpected while out and about? What put a smile on your face this past week?
*****
And I just found out something else to celebrate! A very talented blogger buddy is having a super sale on her YA Paranormal for the next few days!!!
52 LIKES, Evernight Teen, 2015: After a brutal rape and near-murder, Valerie wants to get past feelings of victimhood from both the assault and her history of being bullied. She’s plagued by not knowing the identity of her rapist and by the nasty rumors in school about that night. Valerie follows clues from ghostly entities, past victims of the rapist-murderer, contacting her through a social media site—why do all of their eerie photos have 52 likes under them? Their messages are leading her to the mystery man, although he’ll put up a fight to remain hidden.
When there is money involved, kids work harder.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blackberry jam!
How true!
DeleteI was JUST thinking about blackberry pie! I will stand by mailbox and wait for some. *taps foot*
ReplyDeleteI'd send you one...but I'm betting it just wouldn't be the same by the time it reached you. Jet post?
DeleteBlackberries! YUM! Mine are just starting to ripen!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy when they do!
Deleteooooh, i love ice cream. Am trying to cut back though. :l
ReplyDeleteI was trying to keep my distance but figured life is too short as is the summer, and there are so many yummy flavors out there,
DeleteI love blackberries! As a kid, we had a big yard. There were raspberries and mulberries for me to pick and eat during the summer. I could get full just from grazing berries while I was playing.
ReplyDeleteI hope the jam turns out perfect for you!
Yum! Sounds like a great childhood. And thanks for the wishes. I love to use this jam for Christmas cookies, so a lot hangs from it ;)
DeleteThere are few things yummier than fresh picked berries being made into delightful things! Yay for your daughter's hard work and your patronage! Ice creams my favorite - mmm. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWishing the same to you!

Here's wishing you success with the promotion!
DeleteJust think:Ice cream and blackberries together.
ReplyDeleteNow, that is a great idea!
DeleteBlackberries and ice cream! Yum! You know, I've always wondered what it would be like to patron a restaurant that a close family member is working at!
ReplyDeleteMmm, blackberry jam. Ice cream, too; we're having the perfect weather for it right now.
ReplyDeleteMy little thing to celebrate this week is doing the line edits on my WIP. I just hit the halfway mark yesterday, yay! It's taking a long time, but it'll be so very, very worth it once I get all these changes in the book.
ReplyDeleteWe are celebrating the arrival of our French exchange student. It is fun seeing things through her eyes -- supermarkets and super-pet stores are amazing. Even watching her try a cereal that interested her in the grocery store and exclaim, "Marshmallows? In milk?" is a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteBlackberries and ice cream! Can't get much better than that. And dinner at your daughter's restaurant must have been fun. Kids are funny that way when it comes to work. Have a great week!
