Celebrate the Small Things

What a lovely week it's been and now, it's time to celebrate!

This is the day we look back and remember all those small and big things which put a smile on our faces. Yes, it's time to Celebrate The Small Things!!!

This is a weekly blog hop sponsored by the amazing Lexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner from Writing Off the Edge and myself.  If you'd like to join in and add a little more joy to your week, the go ahead and sign-up on the linky below!

This week, I'm celebrating. . .

1) Getting down into that WIP. I know where this baby is going now, and I'm ready to work my way through it. It always takes me a bit to get to this point mentally, and for me, it's a big step forward when it does.

2) Writing gloves! I suffer from bad circulation and my fingers always freeze when I play piano or type or write or anything. So I ordered myself a pair of fingerless gloves. Cooler weather may now come!

And that pretty much covers it for me. Now, it's your turn. What put a smile on your face this last week? And yes, I do love reading about your little moments of happiness too....maybe that's my 3rd thing to celebrate - the chance to celebrate with the rest of you! (*cringe* wow, that sounds a bit over the top...I'm not usually quite this cheesy) But do tell!

  1. My garden--it's all in bloom right now, which makes all that work in early Spring so worth it!

  2. Yesterday, I took a peaceful walk through a nature preserve with my husband and my dog. When we let the dog off her leash so she could splash around in the stream while my husband and I sat on a rock nearby, I was celebrating BEING THERE -- instead of in an in-service meeting with my former teaching colleagues, learning about new tests they must administer and how the time they gained by eliminating physical education and recess can be used to collect data on the students.

  3. I should get some of those gloves for my wife.
The big announcement for next week's IWSG is all set, so I'm happy!

  4. Awww . . . I love that you love reading about other people's happiness! You are so sweet--I don't it's over the top at all. Though I am sorry you have circulation problems. I hope the gloves help!

  6. Glad you are feeling positive about your WIP it certainly helps make the words flow when you know where you are going. I've had a good writing week too.
I too suffer with circulation problems sometimes, never thought of wearing fingerless gloves to type though, might have to give it a go when the cold weather comes. Thanks for the tip!

  9. Congrats on getting a handle on your WIP! And yay for new gloves! I need gloves for winter typing too. It doesn't get very cold here - only 50s - but no homes have heating (probably because it's desert, never any trees to burn). We just pack on the clothes, socks and blankets. It's the only time of year I enjoy cooking because of the hot stove! LOL Have a great weekend!

  10. Congrats on your WIP progress! My hands are always the first things to get cold when winter hits, so fingerless gloves might be just the thing. Thanks for the idea! Have a great weekend!

  12. I can't ever imagine using gloves this side of the world. It's never THAT cold.
For us, spring starts officially on September 01... but it's already warming up...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  13. It doesn't sound cheesy that you want to be happy for us, at least not to me.

Personally, I'm grateful that I don't have anything major tasks that need to get done this weekend.

  14. It's great that you are getting down into your WIP. Sometimes it's hard to figure out where a story is going.
Love your idea for fingerless gloves. We all need something to help with our little writing problems. At the moment I think I need to get some more cat cages and lock up all my kitties during writing time, they are going wild at the moment.

  18. First, I'm celebrating both surviving another week of training at work. Trust me, 'surviving' is the right word. O_o Second, I'm celebrating another attempt at a plot that I've been trying to figure out for a long time. Seems strange to celebrate something that might end up not working out(again), but it's better than banging my head against a wall trying to figure it out. Eh heh heh.

  19. I'm looking forward to cooler weather and those writing gloves are sound perfect. My hands get icy cold too. Congrats on the progress you've made this week.

  20. Great things. Happy writing. It's too warm where I am, but I'd get those gloves if needed. I tend to get cold hands easily.

  21. I bought myself a pair of fingerless gloves a couple years ago. Of course that winter was so warm I never needed them. Still, they're good to have and I'll need them at our new home.
