Celebrate Those Small Things

This weekly blog hop is sponsored by the amazing Lexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner from Writing Off the Edge and myself.

What exactly are we celebrating?

Every week, wonderful things happen, tiny things, which make us smile. But as time grabs us up, we forget all about these moments as if they never existed at all. This is the chance for us to reflect back on those and remember that there are tons of things worth celebrating.

Whoa! I just realized that it's Friday again. Where in the world did the last week go? Well, here's what I'm celebrating. . .

1) Pay checks! We thought we could give up, but hub's company finally managed to pull through. *whew* That made me do a happy dance.

2) An unexpected scholarship came in for my daughter! Anyone who has kids headed off for college knows how nice those are.

3) Cookies! My son has baked some a coupe of times this week, which always makes my sweet-tooth smile.

And what about you? What put a smile on your face this last week? Survive that snow storm? Hear a great song? Pet a cat or dog? What are you celebrating?

  1. Glad they finally paid him!
A scholarship is a wonderful thing. I'm sure my parents would've appreciated one.

  2. Your kids are up to good things! ^_^ Glad the paychecks came through!

I'm celebrating the fact that I'm 5 chapters from the end of my next first draft! Whoo! ^_^

  3. So exciting to get money you don't expect! Congratulations to your daughter and so glad you'll enjoy special cookies from your son. Have a great week.

  4. \O/paychecks! Congratulations to your daughter on the scholarship. Great that your son likes to bake.

  5. Thank goodness the company came through and the you got the good news of a scholarship too! I'm so glad things worked out! Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Good to hear your husband's paycheck came through okay. Not sure how I'd handle that. Bills would be impossible to pay in my home. Congrats on daughter's scholarship!

  7. Tonja, so happy to hear your husband got his paycheck and for your daughter's unexpected scholarship. What blessings! God is so good! Please, keep my son in prayer. He's found himself in a terrible situation that may haunt him for the rest of his life. We heart sick over this mess. All we can do is pray for God's intervention and divine will in this matter. Thank you so much, my friend, and God bless!
