Celebrate the Small Things

It's Friday! And time for another round of smiles and celebrations. Thanks to Lexa Cain, today is the day we sit back and remember the small (and big) things that put a smile on our faces this past week.

Thanks also goes to her amazing co-hosts:

L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge
Katie @ TheCyborgMom

This week, I'm celebrating. . .

1) A visit from my brother and his family! They have six bubbly kids, which means tons of playtime when they get together with mine. It's fun and excitement pure.

2) Turtles! The kids have been finding them everywhere.

3) Ice Cream! This is always worth celebrating, especially now that the temperatures are beginning to go up.

And what about you? What things put a smile on your face this last week?

  4. Yes, ice cream is ALWAYS worth celebrating. And 10 kids running around? Hope the weather's sunny and warm, so they can do it outside.

Carole - Nature is magical, isn't it?

Alex - Lol! There's worse things.

Catherine - I'm praying for lots o' sunshine!

  6. Turtles and ice cream and family! ^_^ Mist haves for the summer. There aren't too many turtles in where I am, but I do have frogs napping on my door sometimes!

  7. Few things in childhood are better than long summer days to play and ice cream! It sounds like you have a very full house! Have a great weekend!

  8. Hope the family has fun. And I can picture a lot of ice cream consumption this weekend.

  9. I renewed my membership to the local aquarium. I can see otters, sea turtles, crocodiles, and sharks. More importantly, I can get in a good walk!

  10. You are so lucky to have such a large, happy family. And they are lucky to have YOU, so joyful and enthusiastic about everything.

What about if, this Friday, we celebrate YOU? :-)

Though in fairness, I'm also celebrating the fact that all my betas went gaga over my book cover. Let's hope it bodes well for when I publish!

  13. One daughter had her Senior Prom on Friday, and she looked so beautiful! The other daughter had a birthday on Saturday -- she's also beautiful, of course. Although dressed in a bikini for her pool party instead of a gown.

  15. I'm visiting from Celebrate the Small Things linkup. I'm celebrating ice cream with you, too. In fact, this morning I pulled together a no-churn chocolate peanut butter ice cream recipe for the first time and am anxious to see how it turns out later this evening. If it gets our seal of approval then I definitely will post about it. Have a nice weekend, and please join me today at http://curiousasacathy.com/2015/06/meet-my-grandparents-part-iv-flashbackfriday/ !
