It's time for another edition of. . .
CELEBRATE THE SMALL THINGS!
This is a weekly blog hop sponsored by the amazing Lexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner from Writing Off the Edge and myself. Every week, wonderful things happen, tiny things, which make us smile. But as time grabs us up, we forget all about those moments. This is the chance for us to reflect back on those and remember that there are tons of things worth celebrating.
If you'd like to join in and add a little more joy to your week, then go ahead over to Lexa's or simply pop by the linky below!
This week, I'm celebrating. . .
1) Good books and a trip to the library. I've been diving into tons of stories this last week--some which I've had on my TBR list for quite awhile. It's nice to be swept away into other places and worlds.
2) Eggs! Chickens tend to calm down on the egg laying end of things during the winter, although we were still getting around 8 a day. This week, their Spring clocks must slowly be kicking in. We've had around 14 a day suddenly. Eggs anyone?
3) Friends! What would we do without them?
What about you? What put a smile on your face this last week? Did the sun shine down on your face? Did you smell something yummy which made you stop and simply inhale the moment? Hear a great song on the radio? What small thing are you celebrating?
Definitely with you on the friends celebration, good friends are the best.
ReplyDeleteFresh eggs sound lovely :)
Hope you like omelets!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of eggs! Think of all the baking you could do...
ReplyDeleteEggs and books and friends! Those are true blessings :-)
ReplyDeleteTry a Spanish tortilla. They use a lot of eggs. Meanwhile, yes, friends. They top the list any day. And books. You picked three winners.
ReplyDeleteFriends and books, of course--and an easy fix for my Kindle, which was acting oddly. It's okay now.
ReplyDeleteSo many eggs, wow!
Yay, eggs! My dad has been struggling to get eggs, too. But they haven't gotten the spring notification yet.
ReplyDeleteGood reads and good friends are irreplaceable. :)
I would love some freshly laid eggs.. that must be wonderful! Enjoying a few books off of my TBR list this week too. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe lady I get my eggs from says hers are laying well too. Hmm. Maybe the chickens were talking to the groundhog.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I'm thrilled to hear of someone getting lost in stories and always wishing I had more time to meander down those fantastic paths myself. And if I were anywhere near you I would happy take some of those eggs of your hands!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Blessings and enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDelete14 eggs a day?! I hope you have a lot of recipes that need eggs. Yay for libraries and book-lending; saves the wallet from excess pain. I don't know what I'd do without my friends either. Have a lovely weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of eggs! I hope you have some baking to do. Friends and books are always worth celebrating! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteI... don't have anything to celebrate this week. >_< Surviving the week itself, maybe? That's really the best I can say.
ReplyDeleteYay for libraries! Not only do they make it easier for me to read more books, they help bring readers to writers they've never encountered before.
ReplyDeletegreat celebrations! the library is like a treasure hunt =) and farm fresh eggs sound heavenly! plus friends are the best!
ReplyDeletehappy tuesday - have a great week!
I love this hop and if I could bring myself to blog more than once a week, I'd be playing along. You've got eggs coming our your ears, eh?
ReplyDeleteYou know what put a smile on my face today? Susan Flett Sqiderski going off about my cheese-ness, and the realization that finally (after 2 years of drafting) have a completed and somewhat edited manuscript to send to my publisher. About time eh?
Friends and books sound wonderful. Great things here.
ReplyDeleteI love library days! We'll have one of those this weekend. :) Have a great day!
