Holy Crow - it's already Friday! Before we head off into the weekend it's time to remember all those wonderful things that happened--all those things which put a smile on the face. Today, we CELEBRATE THE SMALL THINGS!
This is a weekly blog hop sponsored by the amazing Lexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner from Writing Off the Edge and myself. If you'd like to join in and add a little more joy to your week, then go ahead and sign-up on the linky below!
This week, I'm celebrating. . .
This week, I'm celebrating. . .
1) A couple of calves! We have a few cows expecting in the next few weeks. Two new little ones are already here and oh so cute!
2) A book set from Shah Wharton! I was lucky enough to win this package of horror. Talk about perfect timing for the upcoming month! We'll have to see how it goes though (I'm a chicken when it comes to horror)
3) Good grades from my two youngest (straight A's!) I haven't seen the older ones grades yet, but in celebration, we went out for ice cream. I'm so glad they're loving school.
4) Hit a slot in Miss Snark's secret agent contest! My current agent decided to take a break from her career for family, which means I'm on my own again. So when the email came the exact same day about the contest now being open (and just happened to include my genre), I dove right in and actually made a spot. And since I was in the flow of things, I sent off my first query too - might as well dive right back into this writing madness.
And what about you? What put a smile on your face this week?
Get through that laundry pile?
Hear a song on the radio you haven't heard in a super long time?
Have a fresh, new writing idea?
Sit down on the grass and watch the day go by?
What are you celebrating this week?
Sorry your agent took a break!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the books from Shah.
My husband isn't thrilled about my win...now, I'll be making him check the closets before I go to bed ;)
DeleteBaby cows!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're in the contest! I'm going go see if I can find you. ;) Sorry you're on your own again :( but you're bouncing right back up again, which is inspiring. :)
Dude! You are always winning stuff! I recently got back into reading horror. I can't read in the dark, but I love it!
Tell me if you do find me! I made some last second corrects, which I shouldn't have...messed it up a little. But I need to bounce back some how :)
DeleteBaby cows! How adorbs!
ReplyDeleteAnd the one even lets me scratch its neck. So sweet!
DeleteBooks from Shah - lucky you! Will we see photos of the baby calves? Congratulations to your children! Wow - write, write, write!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cheer...now, if my fingers will listen to the write..write..write!
DeleteI love that you won a slot in the contest, Tonja! That's awesome sauce!
ReplyDeleteSee how it goes ;)
DeleteYay for baby calves and for straight A's!! You must be so proud!! I'm sorry you lost your agent, but it's great you dove into the MSFV contest and are beginning to query. I've heard that if you have already had an agent, it's easier to get a new one interested. Good luck! :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard that too. We'll see if those sayings are right.
DeleteCalves are so cute! I grew up on a farm, and feeding and taking care of the calves was always one of my favorite things to do. They're just adorable.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the book set, and congrats to your kids on the straight A's. That's super!
Sorry to hear about losing your agent, but it's great how you jumped right back in there with the contest. Good luck!!
Luckily, my moms are pretty good at watching their calves. But bottle feeding is quite the experience!
Deletecalves! And the circle of life continues :)
ReplyDeleteYay for staright A's! I don't think I ever reached such an accomplishment. You must be so happy :)
It makes life so much easier when at least the worry about the grades isn't there - a blessing.
DeleteAww calves cute. Well done to your kids on their grades, definitely worth an ice-cream celebration. Hope you enjoy the new books.
ReplyDeleteHooray for good grades and ice cream!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a great week, I bet those calves are so cute! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteGood grades are always worth celebrating! I hope you had a great weekend.
