Happy Book Birthday, Windy Hollow by Tara Tyler!!!

Tara had a long journey to get this book published!

WINDY HOLLOW
Beast World MG Fantasy Series, book #3
by Tara Tyler
Available NOW!

In BROKEN BRANCH FALLS, Gabe and his friends go on a quest to save their school, blowing up all the rules, and discover their origins.

Then they go to CRADLE ROCK and meet some real live humans, scaring them into attack mode. The Beasts realize they have to spread the truth ASAP.

Now, school's out, and Gabe is ready for a break from all the drama...

Gabe and his friends fly over the Great Sea for the wedding of the century: a dragon prince and a beautiful harpy. But Gabe can't relax on this vacation. Besides competing in rigorous wedding events, he overhears the nearby human village WINDY HOLLOW is in danger from an evil human scientist and a vengeful were-ogre experimenting on beasts. Gabe and his friends risk crossing the mountains to help, despite several warnings.

Maybe he's going too far this time, but he's in too deep to quit. It's do or die, hopefully not die!

Paperback ~~~ Ebook

And here are my thoughts...because I already have read it!

Gabe and his friends head off into another unexpected and exciting adventure...one that is even more thrilling than the first two.

Excitement and expectations run high as Gabe and his friends are invited to attend a wedding, which being between a dragon prince and a harpy, is bound to be something to see. Toss in the knowledge that the Council is about to reveal to everyone that humans and beasts, and this is an experience none of them want to miss. Unfortunately, evil is not far away. A horrible scientist is lurking in the dark shadows of the castle above. Gabe and his friends are told to stay out of it, but they know they can't do that.

This is the third book in the series, and I recommend reading them in order since the characters and background information does help understand this book better.

Gabe and his friends are a spunky, brave and a 'not-always-listening-to-what-they're-told-to-do' bunch of teen beasts. They are kind-hearted, have a great moral compass, stand with each other, and yet, have all those problems younger teens tend to have. There are misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and mistakes...but they always work out in the end. Although these are beasts, they are as human as any human can be.

Boring is not the word for this book. From the first moment on, something is always happening and the tension builds from chapter to chapter. What appears at first to be a simple problem, layers with secrets and mutates into a challenging adventure. There are many twists and turns, and surprises. It's hard to put this book down until the last page. Among all of the adventure, there are also lovely messages about friendship and trust.

This is a read fantasy fans are sure to enjoy.

Tara Tyler Shares Simulation (and Password Wisdom)

Today, I'm handing over my blog to a super, awesome blogger friend who's celebrating something mega-super-huge- the release of her latest addition to the POP TRAVEL series....

Welcome, Tyra!!!

The Password Game - Lazy Housewife Style
I am so tired of signing up for things that need passwords - which is EVERYTHING!! And there are so many stipulations - you need a symbol, a capital letter, a lowercase letter, a number and an emoji! (that last was me being sarcastic)

But seriously! We need passwords for paying bills online, for shopping, for registering at the doctor, in schools, online anything needs all your info plus a good, strong password.

And after reading the rules of what NOT to do when creating passwords, I failed miserably. Here are some of the tips of what NOT to use for passwords:

1234 - duh!
pet names
street you live on
your kids' names
spouse name
maiden name
nothing someone can easily look up
and don't use the same password for everything

And with all the differing requirements, it's also recommended not to use the same password then include a symbol for a letter, or use a capital letter here or there... it makes them too hard to remember, because...

You also aren't supposed to write them down! like in a handy dandy little notebook.

Well, I am totally guilty of most of these DON'Ts! I can't remember a thing anymore if I don't write it down and how am I supposed to remember all these combinations!!

So here is the DO advice for passwords:
random words or phrases, like: downonthefarm or ratherbeatbeach or bluebanana with some numbers added at the end or something. I may pick a phrase to use, but I will have to tweak it for the requirements and I will probably still write them down!

Some funny passwords NOT to use! Reset, tryagain, password, idontknow

Do you have any password advice? Know any funny passwords?

Thanks for letting me ramble today, Tonja! The Lazy Housewife loves to vent!

Happy Release Day (one day late)

And once again the world gets to see how unorganized I can be. . .but that doesn't mean I'm any less enthusiastic or excited to help fellow blogger announce the release of her second book in the POP TRAVEL series.

Congratulations, Tara!

And here it is. . .

After Pop Travel, Geri convinced Cooper to move back to Atlanta, but for familiar reasons, things didn't work out... In Simulation, Geri is fighting her way back to full-fledged, solo agent status, but first has to deal with one more annoying sidekick on an equally annoying case. Meanwhile, Cooper takes his mind off Geri leaving him by throwing himself into his work, investigating an illegal clone android simulation operation. Sparks fly when Cooper and Geri's cases lead them down the same path. Of course Hasan wants to help them with their cases, and connives a plan to get them back together in the niddle of all the chaos!

SIMULATION delivers more technology, more intense action, more humor, and more exciting new characters. Come along for the ride.

Cover Reveal for Tara Tyler's Simulation!

To go with the cover reveal, here's a bit of writerly advice from Tara Tyler...

Friends are invaluable. True friends tell it like it is. If they have time to read your book, they'll tell you. If they don't want to, they'll tell you. But if they want to and they feel up to critiquing it, you've found gold! Hearing input from an honest beta reader gives an author necessary information. Try to get one or more!

Now,
It's finally here!! I give you the taunting cover of SIMULATION!
