Celebrate the Small Things

It's time for another edition of. . .

CELEBRATE THE SMALL THINGS!

This is a weekly blog hop sponsored by the amazing Lexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner from Writing Off the Edge and myself. Every week, wonderful things happen, tiny things, which make us smile. But as time grabs us up, we forget all about those moments. This is the chance for us to reflect back on those and remember that there are tons of things worth celebrating.

This week, I'm celebrating. . .

1) The biggest excitement this week was for my oldest. He decided to trade in his motorcycle for something a bit snazzier.

2) Flowers! My daughter's FFA (Future Farmers of America) had a sale on all of the flowers they were raising in their greenhouse. My patio has never looked so gorgeous!

3) Warm weather! Which means it's time to paint again....yay! I started on my front deck yesterday. Pretty decks, here we come!

What about you? What are you celebrating? Did a ladybug land on your shoulder? A bird soar over your head? Did you hear a great song and sing it all day long? (hehehe that even rhymed!)

What put a smile on your face this last week?

And this week, must have been something because I totally spaced IWSG! *Sigh* Sorry, guys!

    1. My son claims he needs one for the better gas mileage to get to college classes. I'm thinking he simply likes them.

  3. Your son traded his motorcycle for . . . another motorcycle?

You are the only person I know who would get excited about painting their front deck. Then again, you're also one of the hardest-working people I know. :-)

    1. Yeah, his other motorcycle was a dirt bike that he totally modified, and then decided he'd rather have a ninja. When he saw this special edition ninja, his heart went pitter-patter. His money his problem ;) Boys!

    1. Oh, I wish the weather would stay cool! Today's supposed to hit the mid-80s but tomorrow it's supposed to drop back down. Cooler is better!

  6. Tonja, Aside the things I'm celebrating listed in my blog post today, I'm celebrating nicer weather. The past few days have been cloudy and cool. I hope you have a glorious Mother's Day weekend and don't get too happy off those paint fumes! ;)

  8. Seems like we are both celebrating the flowers and starting on the painting (I prefer the former to the latter)! Hope the sun is shining, as it is here in England. Have a lovely weekend @Crazy Old Lady

  12. Not sure what happened, but I can't see the first picture, so I can't tell what your son traded up to. >_< As for me, I'll be deliberately vague and say I'm celebrating finally getting some help.

  13. The weather here has been pretty great! I even got my first sunburn of the year while gardening over the weekend. Not pleasant, but it means summer is on its way!
