Celebrate the Small Things!

It's time for another edition of. . .

CELEBRATE THE SMALL THINGS!

This is a weekly blog hop sponsored by the amazing Lexa Cain, and co-hosted by L.G. Keltner from Writing Off the Edge and myself. Every week, wonderful things happen, tiny things, which make us smile. But as time grabs us up, we forget all about those moments. This is the chance for us to reflect back on those and remember that there are tons of things worth celebrating.

This week, I'm celebrating. . .

1) Yesterday, I became an aunt again! One of my younger brothers and sister-in-law had their first child, a lovely baby girl. So happy for them.

2) My hubs is working again! The circumstances surrounding it are not totally okay, but at least there's an income coming back in. So yay to that!

3) Grass is growing! Yep, this is a farmer thing ;)

4) Egg sales are up! I've been swimming in eggs and didn't know what to do with all of them. I was trying to give them away, but in a farm community, everyone seems to have chickens. Luckily, there are a couple of new people at my hubs' office who wanted some (yippee!). Nine dozen out that door!

And what about you? What wonderful, small (or big) thing put a smile on those puffy cheeks of yours? Did a raindrop hit you on the nose? Did a morning coffee/tea taste exceptionally good? Was there a funny joke at the office? What are you celebrating this week?

Oh, and before I forget, a super writer friend, Ilana Waters, has the first book in her paranormal series, for free this weekend over on Amazon. (Sale starts tomorrow, Saturday!)

Chickens get so happy this time of year. :) My dad was swimming in eggs for a bit, too. Congratulations to your brother.

    1. They are happy! One has decided it wants to hatch eggs but keeps changing nests every couple of days. I finally gave up on her and took the eggs.

  3. When I got to the end of your post, I was like, O.O !!! *jaw drop*

The good thing that happened to me this week was that you did that totally unasked! It really made my day. Thank you so much, Tonja!

Also, so glad your income and egg sales are up. I do hope hubby's job circumstances get better, and that he finds something he truly enjoys (that's also lucrative, hehe). Mazel Tov on your being an aunt again. *wipes tear* I'm sure every time is like the first time. ;-)

    1. Babies are so cute! But it's 16 hours away, so I won't be seeing her any time soon. And of course, I'd mention your sale! *rolls eyes*

  9. I'm celebrating being nine days into my new book and it's going really well so far. ^_^ This is something I've been plotting since 2014, so it's great to finally get to work on it.

And congratulations on becoming an aunt again! Two of my friends are expecting their first child, so I'm soon to be a quasi-uncle again.
