Celebrate the Small Things

Hello, Friday!!!
It's time for another round of Celebrate the Small Things. Thanks goes to Lexa Cain, who sponsors this wonderful, weekly hop. Every week, we stop and remember all those small (and big) things which happened these past seven days that put a smile on our faces.

A special thanks also goes to her co-hosts:

L.G. Keltner @ Writing Off The Edge
Katie @ TheCyborgMom

This week, I'm celebrating:

1) Getting that much closer to finally having my revisions done! Just a little more, and it's out the door to all those betas. Yay!

2) A new calf! My youngest son peeked out of the window into the fog this last week and saw the new member of our herd. He's perky and bouncy and terribly cute.

3) New garden chairs! Well, new for us, but in desperate need of repair. Hubs got excited at an auction and picked up a worn table with four chairs. The glass is missing in the table, which he plans on making out of a sheet of steel (maybe with a design in the middle?) at his company (hot table in the sun--but I guess it will keep the food warm *hehehe*) and it looks like I'm refurbishing the chairs (that's what I get for picking up rocking chairs to refurbish this last winter.) The cloth for the seats came yesterday, and it's off to buy spray paint today. See if we can enjoy a bar-b-que on them some time next week.

And what about you? What put a smile on your face? An ice cream cone? A surprise invitation to lunch? Find a penny on the ground in the parking lot?
What put a smile on your face this last week?

  2. So, the cow had her calf by herself and your son spotted it through the window? I had the impression (from TV and movies) that birthing a calf required a lot of intervention (and hand insertion) from the farmer. Darn movies. I guess they mostly come out on their own, huh?

This week I'm celebrating my daughter's high school graduation!

    1. There are times when farmers need to help, but only when there are problems. Normally, those calves come all by themselves. Lol! And I hope all of mine do to because...*whew*. . .that's not something I really want to deal with.

      Congrats to your daughter!!!

  8. Today, I'm celebrating heading out to the movies with friends, something I didn't know was happening until about two hours ago. ^_^ Even if it means I have to make sure to write before going out...

  9. Hi Tonja. I didn't post up Celebrate today - taking some time away.
With a metal table, be careful of plastic cutlery and cups.
Cute calf, and congrats on the revision progress!
